Sohail Salamat

Sohail Salamat (born 1976) is a Pakistani musician, and primarily a singer of Qawwali, a devotional music of the Sufis. He is the nephew of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Son of Bakshi Salamat Ali
He has toured extensively and performed in Pakistan, India and all around the world, from Holland to Malaysia


Early life and training
into a family of traditional musicians. The son of Bakshi Salamat Ali, he was trained by his uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and his brother BJS (bakshi javaid Salamat group) in the art of classical music and Qawwali
Sohails first public performance was at the age of seven or eight when he won a singing competition where Hadiqa Kiyani and Shazia Manzoor were his competitors, but sohail won the award, this made him tour Pakistan with his brothers. India and UK were to follow


Sohail has performed in Huge venues Trafalgar Square where any famous artist would love to be excelled, Manchester city centre, Leeds Birmingham, all the cities in the UK possible.
At a concert in London Trafalgar Square, he performed the solo Akiyan U Deek diyan, aja ni sadei nal nachle, as well as UKs number one hit sound track from the album jinx Gal Sun le sorniyeh which remained on the charts for 14 weeks! And fully sold out of all the music stores internationally.


Sohail also played the Excel London in front of Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor as a special guest at the friendship festival where he called in thousands of fans.
